Magnolia Pearl Trade | FAQ's

General/Account

While the name of our site makes use of the term “Trade”, Magnolia Pearl Trade does not endorse any exchange of goods outside of the Magnolia Pearl Trade platform. Magnolia Pearl Trade is intended as a site for buying and selling pre-loved, Magnolia Pearl Brand pieces, plain and simple.

Our consumer protection policies do not cover pure item trades within the system, as we cannot guarantee that both parties will ship their items to each other as promised or described.

If you are approached by another user to conduct business outside of Magnolia Pearl Trade and its affiliated payment/shipping providers, or are asked to share your personal information such as email/phone number, etc., please contact us immediately.

Establishing an account with Magnolia Pearl Trade is simple. All you need to begin is a valid email address and a valid mailing address (Magnolia Pearl Trade will not ship to PO Boxes).

If you are interested in listing items for sale on Magnolia Pearl Trade, you must have or establish a PayPal account. If you are interested in bidding on/buying albums on Magnolia Pearl Trade, you may check out as Guest through PayPal, though it is recommended to set up an account for greater convenience. (PayPal processes all Magnolia Pearl Trade transactions). Follow the simple steps outlined here, and you’re all set!

Magnolia Pearl Traders are allowed one Magnolia Pearl Trade account at a time, unless given explicit written permission to do so by Magnolia Pearl Trade, LLC. Multiple accounts with the same shipping/billing address or other identical information will be immediately flagged and restricted until the issue is resolved.

If you need to make changes to your shipping details, or would like to amend your profile, simply click on the Account Icon (looks like a little person) at the top right-hand of your screen, scroll down to “My Account Home”, then select “Account” from the list at the left-hand side of your screen, then “Details.” A page will appear with straightforward options to update your personal information. If you need to update payment information, you will need to do so through PayPal.

No; Magnolia Pearl Trade is easily navigable and viewable to anyone with an internet connection. If you would like to bid on or list an item, you must set up an account with Magnolia Pearl Trade and PayPal.

Yes! It is entirely free to sign up for a Magnolia Pearl Trade account. The only nominal fees associated with Magnolia Pearl Trade are applied once an item sells, and when a Seller may choose to relist an item. See our FAQ Section "Listing/Selling" to learn more about these fees.

Currently, buying & selling on Magnolia Pearl Trade is only available to those living in the USA (who provide a mailing address in the USA) and its territories, including US military bases. There are safeguards in place that alert us if a user is attempting to circumvent this geographic restriction. In time, we hope to expand the reach of Magnolia Pearl Trade so that Authentic Magnolia Pearl collectors worldwide may interact.

It is possible your account has been flagged or suspended, but first, please try troubleshooting possible issues with your username/password. If those avenues don’t result in your being able to log into your account, and your account has been flagged, you will have been sent an email from Magnolia Pearl Trade stating the reason for investigation/suspension. Please consult your junk and spam folders if you do not see an email from us in the email account associated with your Magnolia Pearl Trade account; if you still see no correspondence from us, please contact us and we will work together on the issue.

If you would like to change the email address associated with your Magnolia Pearl Trade account, simply go to “My Account Home”, click on “Account” in the drop-down menu to the left of the screen, then click “ Details”. Enter your new email address, then hit “Save”. An email confirming this new address will be sent to you from Magnolia Pearl Trade.

Every user must select a username for their account. The username can only contain letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens - no spaces. Two users cannot share the same username. If you receive a notice during registration that the username you have selected is already in use, it is possible someone else has already selected it. If you do not remember your login information, please enter your email address into the forgotten password form and you will be able to reset your password and log in to your account.

Listing & Selling

First, you must set up an Magnolia Pearl Trade account with a verified email address & physical mailing address; the next step is to set up a PayPal account, or sign into your already-existing PayPal account (all payments on Magnolia Pearl Trade are processed through PayPal). After this, simply list your items through our user-friendly process. Upload a few photos, provide a description and your offering is live! For more in-depth information about listing, see below.

In addition to price, each listing should include the basic information outlined below. For further guidance on the content and tone of a listing, please refer to our Community Guidelines.

CLOTHING -

Photos:

Provide at least 4-6 photos of each garment listed. The more the better, especially when highlighting various idiosyncrasies of the garment, spots of wear, stains, etc. Photos must be clear and in focus, without heavy post-editing techniques or filters, special effects or collages.

It is vital that Sellers adhere to the directives listed in our Community Guidelines regarding permissions, photographic content and tone, etc.

You are permitted to employ Magnolia Pearl’s professionally shot images of your garment (from the Magnolia Pearl website, if available) for reference, but are required to post at least two photos (front & back) of the actual physical item for sale in real time. Please include a clear shot of the Magnolia Pearl tag/patch/screenprinted logo, etc.

The first two images of your listing should be of the item’s front and back, respectively. The garment should be well-lit and laid flat for the purpose of capturing as much of the physical piece as you can. Please do not include clothing hangers, coat hangers, body forms, clothespins or any such accoutrement in your photos; listings submitted with these details in the photos will be denied and you will be asked to resubmit. Your two initial images will be automatically formatted with a white background to adhere to a cohesive aesthetic for the site, as well as minimize risk of fraud. Beyond these two primary photos, the white background is an optional feature.

Description:

We love hearing when you purchased or received your garment, what wonderful places you may have worn it, what beautiful works you’ve created while wearing it, etc. Please, however, be precise and respectful—in plain language, list thoroughly all details of the item including but not limited to:

Color: With such variation among devices, it can be difficult to capture a certain hue. Please try to describe the color of your garment as accurately as you possibly can, with comparisons to everyday objects.

Measurements:

Magnolia Pearl is generally cut to a “One Size Fits Most” metric. Customers of Magnolia Pearl typically consult with their personal Sales Representative regarding size & fit before purchase; Magnolia Pearl Trade does not not offer such services. The responsibility is solely upon the Seller to disclose all measurements of the garment as precisely as possible to avoid any misunderstanding. There are various online tutorials explaining the best way to articulate measurements of clothing laying flat.

Condition:

Condition is a whole different game when it comes to Authentic Magnolia Pearl. Those who know Magnolia Pearl understand that Magnolia Pearl pieces embody a worn quality when purchased brand-new. The nuances and idiosyncrasies of hand-applied techniques such as weathering, fading and patching; the intentional application of paint and stains; the employment of deliberate rips, tears and raw hems; the individual quality of hand-mending, embroidery and appliqué—all of these touches are part of Magnolia Pearl’s aesthetic and message. From production, no two Magnolia Pearl garments are 100% identical. That said, the structural integrity of Magnolia Pearl garments is of the highest quality. When considering the condition of YOUR pre-loved Magnolia Pearl piece for sale, please do your due diligence in parsing out which peculiarities are inherent to the original garment, and which are the result of wear.

When creating a listing, each Seller is asked to state the condition of the piece being sold in popular shorthand for resale items. These options are listed in a drop-down menu and are as follows:

  • NWT = New With Tags

Brand new, never worn, with original Magnolia Pearl tags still affixed

  • NWOT = New Without Tags

Same condition as above, but without original Magnolia Pearl tags affixed

  • EUC = Excellent Used Condition

Worn once or twice, little to no evidence of wear

  • GUC = Good Used Condition

Item demonstrates minimal wear; may have pilling, pulls, loose stitches, small stains or holes, (which should be disclosed and displayed in detail) but still in good, functioning condition

  • VUC = Very Used Condition

Item obviously worn multiple times; has various spots of wear and possibly in need of small repairs (which should be disclosed and displayed in detail) but clean and functional

Please include any idiosyncrasies of the garment in photo and description. Please be thorough in your investigation of your garment, noting any pilling, missing buttons or snaps, loose seams, tears, stuck zippers, stretching, fraying straps, etc. While small stains are fine, all garments for sale must be clean, laundered (unless never worn), free from smoke or other harsh aromas or fragrances, free of deodorant markings or pet hair, and with no unhygienic stains such as body fluids, etc.

SHOES -

Photos:

Provide at least 4-6 photos of each pair of shoes listed. As with garments, we encourage images that highlight the shoes’ idiosyncrasies and spots of wear, especially regarding the soles and insoles. Photos must be clear and in focus, without heavy post-editing techniques or filters, special effects or collages.

You are permitted to employ Magnolia Pearl’s professionally shot images of your shoes (if available) for reference, but are required to post at least two photos of the actual shoes for sale in real time; Sellers, as well, must adhere to the directives listed in our Community Guidelines regarding permissions, photographic content and tone, etc.

The first two images of a shoe listing should be of the pair from the front and from behind as the shoes sit flat upon even ground, capturing as much of the shoes as you can in each shot. These two initial images will be automatically formatted with a white background to adhere to a cohesive aesthetic for the site, as well as minimize risk of fraud. Beyond these two primary photos, Sellers should include images highlighting the shoes’ soles, insoles, laces (if necessary), any beadwork or embroidery, etc. Please also include a clear photograph of the Magnolia Pearl imprint or label upon the shoes.

Description:

We love hearing where your shoes have taken you! Please, however, be precise and respectful—in plain language, list thoroughly all details of the item including but not limited to:

Color:

With such variation among devices, it can be difficult to capture a certain hue. Please try to describe the color of the shoes as accurately as you possibly can, with comparisons to everyday objects.

Sizing:

Magnolia Pearl’s shoes are sized to a general European Women’s Shoe Sizing metric. It’s advisable to list both the European Shoe Size printed upon the shoe, as well as the corresponding USA Shoe Sizing. There are many conversion charts found easily online. You may also want to include details about whether you feel the shoes run small or would fit a wider foot, whether there is arch support or padding, and general fit information.

Condition:

Accurately and adequately describing condition when it comes to resale shoes is vital in earning the trust of a Buyer and ensuring customer satisfaction. While all Authentic Magnolia Pearl pieces from shoes to tophats embody a worn quality when purchased brand-new, it’s especially important when listing shoes that the Seller thoroughly present the condition of the shoes being offered in real time (i.e. distinguishing scuffs from wear instead of distressing included in design).

When creating a listing, each Seller is asked to state the condition of the piece being sold in popular shorthand for resale items (as listed in a drop-down menu). When considering the condition of footwear, please see the following:

  • NWT = New With Tags

Brand new, never worn, no wear on soles or insoles, with original Magnolia Pearl tags still affixed

  • NWOT = New Without Tags

Same condition as above, but without original Magnolia Pearl tags affixed

  • EUC = Excellent Used Condition

Worn once or twice, little to no evidence of wear, especially on soles and insoles

  • GUC = Good Used Condition

Demonstrates minimal wear; may have some scuffs or wear on soles and insoles but still structurally sound without any needed repairs

  • VUC = Very Used Condition

Obviously worn multiple times with evidence of wear on soles and insoles, possibly in need of small repairs (which should be disclosed and displayed in detail) but clean and otherwise functional

All shoes listed for sale on Magnolia Pearl Trade should be clean, free from unhygienic matter on soles or any part of upper, deodorized and dry.

ADORNMENTS (Jewelry*, Hats, Scarves, Socks, etc.) -

Photos:

Provide at least 4-6 photos of each item listed. As with garments, we encourage images that highlight the item’s idiosyncrasies and spots of wear. Photos must be clear and in focus, without heavy post-editing techniques or filters, special effects or collages.

You are permitted to employ Magnolia Pearl’s professionally shot images of your shoes (if available) for reference, but are required to post at least two photos of the actual item for sale in real time; Sellers, as well, must adhere to the directives listed in our Community Guidelinesregarding permissions, photographic content and tone, etc.

The first two images of a listing for Magnolia Pearl adornments should capture the item in full, laid flat. In the case of smaller/more delicate items, an initial image of a tightly-focused detail of the piece might be more eye-catching. These two initial images will be automatically formatted with a white background to adhere to a cohesive aesthetic for the site, as well as minimize risk of fraud. Beyond these two primary photos, Sellers should include images highlighting the item in detail, especially in regards to any points of wear. Please include one shot of the Magnolia Pearl tag/patch/logo.

Description:

Lyrical descriptions of where these beloved adornments have traveled are encouraged! Please, however, be precise and respectful—in plain language, list thoroughly all details of the item including but not limited to:

Color:

With such variation among devices, it can be difficult to capture a certain hue. Please try to describe the color of your item as accurately as you possibly can, with comparisons to everyday objects.

Sizing:

While sizing per se is less of an issue with adornments, please include any relevant measurements such as the length and width of a scarf, length of a necklace, etc. Magnolia Pearl’s socks are cut to one size fits most, but please include general measurements.

Condition:

Condition descriptions will vary depending on the item listed. Overall, Magnolia Pearl Trade does not encourage listings for socks, especially, in any condition below “Excellent Used Condition”. Jewelry, as well, should not be listed if the item is broken in any place that compromises its structural integrity. While all Authentic Magnolia Pearl pieces embody a worn quality when purchased brand-new, it’s important when listing adornments that the Seller distinguishes distressing inherent to the item when purchased from evidence of personal wear over time.

When creating a listing, each Seller is asked to state the condition of the piece being sold in popular shorthand for resale items (as listed in a drop-down menu). When considering the condition of adornments/accessories, please review the following:

  • NWT = New With Tags

Brand new, never worn, with original Magnolia Pearl tags still affixed

  • NWOT = New Without Tags

Same condition as above, but without original Magnolia Pearl tags affixed

  • EUC = Excellent Used Condition

Worn once or twice, little to no evidence of wear, some fraying, small stains or stretching of hat bands

  • GUC = Good Used Condition

Demonstrates minimal wear; may have some pilling, small holes or loose threads but structurally sound without any needed repairs

  • VUC = Very Used Condition

Obviously worn multiple times with evidence of wear in the hatband, etc. Possibly in need of small repairs (which should be disclosed and displayed in detail) but clean and otherwise functional (again, Magnolia Pearl Trade discourages the listing of socks in this condition).

While small stains are fine, all pieces for sale on Magnolia Pearl Trade must be clean, laundered (if appropriate or possible), free from smoke or other harsh aromas or fragrances, free of deodorant markings or pet hair, and with no unhygienic stains such as body fluids, etc.

*Only Authentic Magnolia Pearl branded jewelry is available for resale through Magnolia Pearl Trade. The work of independent jewelry makers that Magnolia Pearl has sold in our physical stores cannot be adequately authenticated by Magnolia Pearl Trade and, thus, is not cleared for resale on this platform.

It is absolutely free to list an item for sale on Magnolia Pearl Trade (zero insertion fees). If your item does not sell in the first 7-day auction listing, you may relist your item for free. If your item, again, fails to sell, your second re-list (third overall list) is subject to a $10 fee. Your third re-list (fourth overall list) also incurs this $10 listing fee (you are permitted to re-list three times in total).

Additionally, Magnolia Pearl Trade leverages a small, standard & straightforward fee from the final order price (price of item sold + applicable sales tax). Our fee rate is significantly lower than the standard rates for other popular clothing resale platforms.

Magnolia Pearl Trade’s fee is a flat 7% on the final order price of each individual item.

This sort of fee, charged to the Seller, is standard in online resale businesses and is generally applied to the cost of running & maintaining the website.

Magnolia Pearl Trade is unique in that we donate 100% of the final value fees accrued on our end to charity through the Magnolia Pearl Peace Warrior Foundation (a 501c3 charitable organization registered in the state of California), in furtherance of its missions and works. (Donated profits are not tax-deductible for the individual Seller).

To learn more about the Magnolia Pearl Peace Warrior Foundation, please click here.

If your item is listed for 7 days without selling, you must relist your item if you are still interested in selling it. The first time to relist your item is FREE; all subsequent relisting will incur a fee of $10 with each relist. You may relist an item 3 times in total (the first time for free; a $10 charge the consecutive 2 times.)

In your initial listing, there is a section "START AND DURATION" at the bottom of the page where you can set your preference for relisting.

After setting your preferred start date & time for your initial listing, choose the duration you wish your item to be available (the standard is 7 days). Once you have done this, in the "Auto Relist" text box, you may enter how many you wish to relist your item if it does not sell through your primary listing. This number must be between 0 and 3. Your first relist is free; all subsequent relists incur a $10 fee.

If you neglect to enter this relisting information (or enter "0" in the Auto Relist text box) and wish to relist your item in the case of it not selling, you must go through the process of listing afresh. The moderator will approve/deny or contact you for further information.

Your item may be listed for sale for three weeks (being relisted each 7 days). If your item doesn't sell after these three weeks, the listing will be designated as “Inactive”. You may choose to start a brand new listing of the item featuring new photos/lower price, etc.

There are no hidden or imposed fees beyond the 7% final value fee & any relisting fees enumerated above. All shipping and shipping insurance fees are added onto the final value and are not calculated into the final value fees. Additionally, PayPal charges a small fee for immediate funds transfers for Sellers. All fees incurred through shipping carriers, insurance providers and PayPal are not under the purview of Magnolia Pearl Trade; you must contact these entities directly if you need to discuss such fees. That said, we are happy to assist you in navigating cases of unexpected fees.

There are a few factors to keep in mind when pricing your listings:

  • Consider the original price of the item: Pre-loved offerings often do not garner the same price as the original item, but certain exceptions may apply, especially in case of the rarity of the piece in the market at large. Vintage and One-Of-A-Kind (OOAK) Authentic Magnolia Pearl pieces quite frequently resell at a higher value.
  • Factor in the seller fees: Though Magnolia Pearl Trade offers low overall flat fees for our listings, please remember to factor these in plus any other labor costs you may anticipate as far as driving to the UPS store, etc.
  • Item Condition: Magnolia Pearl pieces embody a worn quality when purchased brand-new. The nuances and idiosyncrasies of hand-applied techniques such as weathering, fading and patching; the intentional application of paint and stains; the employment of deliberate rips, tears and raw hems; the individual quality of hand-mending, embroidery and appliqué—all these touches are part of Magnolia Pearl’s aesthetic and message. From production, no two Magnolia Pearl garments are 100% identical. That said, the structural integrity of Magnolia Pearl garments is of the highest quality. When considering the condition of YOUR pre-loved Magnolia Pearl item/s for sale, please do your due diligence in parsing out which peculiarities are inherent to the original garment, and which are the result of wear. And of course, please include these considerations in your listing description.
  • Exclusivity: Authentic Magnolia Pearl pieces are and have always been released in limited, small-batch collections. Once a Magnolia Pearl item is created and sold, no other exactly like it will ever exist. This ingrained exclusivity is a given with each Magnolia Pearl piece, some more than others.
  • Price of comparable items on the market: Keeping in mind the value added by Magnolia Pearl’s exclusive nature, we welcome you to search for comparable items regarding fabric/materials, etc.
  • Time frame: If you just wanna turn the beat around and get your item sold quickly, of course, we recommend lowering the prices of your offerings. That said, Magnolia Pearl Trade listings are intended to adhere to a standard of creativity and decorum at any price point; please keep your listings artful and within our Community Guidelines

If your listing was rejected by Magnolia Pearl Trade's moderator for any reason other than suspected fraud, the listing should remain in the "Drafts" folder under the "Seller" tab, in the left-hand column of the "My Account" page - accessed by clicking the Account Icon (looks like a little person) in the upper right-hand menu of the Home Page.

Whatever edits requested by the moderator to approve your listing (different photographs/further info) should be easily fixable in the draft.

There is no limit to the amount of listings Magnolia Pearl Traders may have at a time, only that each Trader may have only one account at a time.

Sellers are not beholden to maintaining a steady level of sales on Magnolia Pearl Trade (i.e. your account will not be suspended for inactivity or small number of sales) but they are expected to uphold a level of decorum and positive, thorough and honest engagement in all listings and communications. Please refer to the Community Guidelinesfor more information.

Currently, Magnolia Pearl Trade does not offer any upgrades to promote or push your listings. It is against our policies to conduct your own giveaways, contests, or sweepstakes on the Magnolia Pearl Trade platform. Please see our Community Guidelines for specific parameters surrounding this policy.

Absolutely not. Magnolia Pearl, LLC. prizes their close relationships with our Wholesale Retailers, based upon open and honest communication. Magnolia Pearl Trade is intended for the Magnolia Pearl consumer/collector only. As business entities, Wholesale Retailers of Magnolia Pearl may not list items for sale on Magnolia Pearl Trade. Violation of this agreement will result in stringent review & possible suspension or loss of Wholesaler status.

Auctions/Buy Now

Auctions on Magnolia Pearl Trade function similarly to other online auctions you may be familiar with: a Seller will list an item designating a starting bid and a reserve price.

  • Starting Bid: the amount suggested by the Seller to open bidding
  • Reserve Price: lowest price a Seller will accept for an item

When a Seller lists an item for sale, they will set the Starting Bid and the Reserve Price; on Magnolia Pearl Trade, we allow the Reserve Price to be visible upon the listing page. Bids will show "Reserve Not Met" until the bidding for the Reserve Price is met. If the bidding does not reach the Seller's reserve price by the end of the 7-day auction period, the item will not be sold and must be relisted if Seller is still interested in offering it.

Aside from Magnolia Pearl Exclusive listings, items listed on Magnolia Pearl Trade are not only available for auction, but the Seller has the option to also set a “Buy Now” price for Buyers who may want to bypass the auction process. If the Seller opts for this offering, the item listing will display the following fields for Buyers:

  • “Quick Bid”: an automated suggested bid
  • An empty text box in which a bidder may enter their desired bid (with minimum bid shown)
  • “Buy Now”: a button listing the “Buy Now” price set by the Seller

The Reserve Price is the lowest a Seller will accept for an item in an auction; the Buy Now Price is a set price a Buyer may purchase an item for without participating in the auction. These prices do not have to be the same.

If the Reserve Price is not met within the 7 days of an auction, the auction is closed. You may relist your item if you have not already done so, up to 3 relists.

The Buy Now button will remain active until the Reserve Price of an item is met/exceeded. Once the Reserve Price is met, the Buy Now option will be suspended, and the auction will continue with bidding.

Strictly speaking, there is no absolute formula regarding which option might garner the highest price for your listed items. An auction—especially for a rare, vintage Authentic Magnolia Pearl item—may end up earning you a greater return than you may propose for the Buy Now price. Once a Buyer clicks on the “Buy Now” button, the auction process is effectively ended.

No; prices set by the Seller in the listing submission are set once approved and the listing goes live. If the Seller would like to make any changes to the prices, they will have to cancel the listing and relist.

Clicking the “Buy Now” button prompts a pop-up window in which the Buyer may confirm their selection of this option. If you hit the button on accident or change your mind, you may click “Cancel”. If you want to proceed with the “Buy Now” option, you will receive a message that “Your Bid Has Been Submitted”. The auction is officially closed at this point and the payment is processed through PayPal (though funds are not released to the Seller until the Buyer affirms their item, when received, is as described [within 3 days]). All bidders will receive notice that the Auction has closed and that their bids have been canceled and they will not be charged.

"Make Offer" is an option you may choose to employ in your listing. If you click the box that allows Buyers to make offers on your listed item, a Buyer is free to submit any price they feel is acceptable for your item. Keep in mind: the price offered by a Buyer MAY BE lower than your Starting Bid, Reserve Price, and/or Buy Now Price.

You DO NOT have to accept any offers from Buyers. This option is available in case you are listing an item that may be selling slower than you like and you feel comfortable accepting a lower price than you had initially set.

If you have activated the "Make Offer" option, a Buyer may enter whatever price they feel suits your item.

You will receive an automated email from Magnolia Pearl Trade stating that an offer has been made. You may either accept the offer, counter the offer, or refuse the offer.

If you accept the offer, the sale will proceed. If you counter the offer, the Buyer may accept or deny your counter. If you refuse the offer, an email is sent to the Buyer that their offer has been refused. They will be able to make another offer if they so choose.

Magnolia Pearl Trade does NOT encourage this; it goes against the protocol and undercuts the process of a true auction. The payment and shipping services integrated through Magnolia Pearl Trade are encrypted and safe; arranging transactions outside of Magnolia Pearl Trade is not protected by us.

In general, a bid is a kind of contract in which the bidder is committing, in good faith, to purchase the object being bid on. That said, we understand there are certain circumstances where retracting a bid may be necessary. Bidders have a three hour window from the time they enter their bid to retract a bid if:

  • Seller drastically changes descriptions of the item such as price, description, etc.
  • You accidentally entered a bid in the wrong amount

If these conditions apply to you, you may contact Magnolia Pearl Trade and state the reason you need to retract your bid. Bid retraction is at the discretion of Magnolia Pearl Trade, not the Seller. We understand that we all make mistakes and pledge to work with you in fixing the issue so you’re not charged. That said, if a pattern of bid-retracting is established, we will investigate and possibly flag the account.

A bid may be flagged if the amount of the bid is extremely high or an excessive number of high bids have been made from a single account. If your bid is flagged for any reason, your account will also be flagged, and you will be contacted by Magnolia Pearl Trade to ensure your account has not been compromised and to protect Sellers against fraud.

At this time, Magnolia Pearl Trade does not offer Automatic or Proxy Bidding.

In order to view your bidding history, click on the Account Icon in the top right hand corner of the Home screen, and scroll down to “My Account”, then click on “Bidding” in the drop-down menu that appears on your Account Summary page. All Bids you are watching (as a Buyer) or have active (as a Seller), all bids won & not won and all invoices are available to look through. If you feel your bid history is missing details, please contact usand we will try to locate the bid you are searching for.

Aside from the item being sold to another bidder (in which case you will receive notice that the item you are bidding on has sold), a listing may disappear for a variety of reasons including the Seller retracting the listing or the Seller’s account being flagged. In these cases, all bids are effectively canceled and you will not be charged for the amount you bid.

The Magnolia Pearl Vault

The MP Vault is a collection of different "Closets" curated, inspected and listed by Magnolia Pearl staff. Aside from our "Prop Closet," all items listed are 100% Authentic Magnolia Pearl Brand Items. 25% of the final value of all items listed in the MP Vaults goes towards charitable works via the Magnolia Pearl Peace Warrior Foundation. Click here for more information, and read below for further details about each particular "Closet" or collection.

Magnolia Pearl Exclusives are listings of sold-out, singular or otherwise incredibly rare Authentic Magnolia Pearl pieces offered by Magnolia Pearl, LLC. These items have not been pre-worn (aside from by a Magnolia Pearl model at photo shoot), are NWT (New With Tags) and unaltered. We are working to make sure each piece offered as a Magnolia Pearl Exclusive item is described thoroughly with attendant measurements. If you do not feel the item is described fully or you need extra information/measurements before you bid, PLEASE contact us and we will get that information to you.

While some items offered as Magnolia Pearl Exclusives are one-of-a-kind pieces that were made as samples but never produced, most are simply rare/the last of their kind. These items are all structurally sound, with no defects.

MP Closet contains pieces worn by a longtime Magnolia Pearl employee over the last 5-10 years. They are gently worn but thoroughly cleaned, cleansed and otherwise pristine. Some of these items were put into production; some were not.

A Magnolia Pearl Employee has thoroughly inspected all items to be in Excellent to Good Used condition. Please pay close attention to the descriptions within the listings of all MP Closet items, and feel free to contact us with any further questions.

Listings under the heading "Robin's Closet" are items designed, worn and hand-distressed by the creator of Magnolia Pearl Clothing, Robin Brown. Some of these items were put into production; some were not.

Each item is in Very Used Condition - with many holes, rips & possible paint splatters - but structurally sound and wearable, lovingly hand-laundered & free from smoke or unhygienic marks. Handle these items with the utmost care - gentle hand-washing & drying in the sun is recommended.

Magnolia Pearl Trade's "Prop Closet" consists of items collected over the history of Magnolia Pearl's evolution as pieces of inspiration for clothing design and physical props or accessories for photo shoots or art installations. They are distinct from all other listings on Magnolia Pearl Trade in that they are NOT MAGNOLIA PEARL BRAND ITEMS.

Some items are newer, used once and in Excellent Used Condition; others are in Very Used, often Antique Condition. Many of these items are intended only for decoration. Please pay close attention to the descriptions of Prop Closet Items & please feel free to contact us with any further questions about a Prop Closet item.

You may return a Magnolia Pearl Vault item ONLY IF the item you receive does not match the description of the listing you bid on (if you receive a different style, color, or shoe size as the listing or the listing did not include specific pertinent details, etc.). We work closely with our Shipping & Receiving department to ensure the exact item you see in the listing is what you receive, but we may make an error from time to time. If you receive a Magnolia Pearl Vault item different than the one you won, please contact us immediately at love@magnoliapearltrade.com, and we will work to get you the correct item or get you a refund.

Otherwise, all items listed within the Magnolia Pearl Vault are FINAL SALE. If you don't find the item to be your style or preference, you are encouraged to relist it on Magnolia Pearl Trade with approval from a moderator.

Yes! There are specific considerations that the moderator of Magnolia Pearl Trade may consider when approving your listing, but, generally, the process is the same for listing any Magnolia Pearl Item for auction on MPT.

You don’t need to disclose that your item was previously won on Magnolia Pearl Trade, though it might help attract interested Buyers who didn’t win the auction the first time around.

The exception to this rule is that no Magnolia Pearl Trade Prop Closet Items can be re-listed on Magnolia Pearl Trade.

As of September 01, 2023, 25% of the profit from sales of ALL Magnolia Pearl Vault items listed on Magnolia Pearl Trade goes to charity via the Magnolia Pearl Peace Warrior Foundation. Please click here to learn more about these charities and the Peace Warrior Foundation.

If you need further information about an item listed as a Magnolia Pearl Vault item on Magnolia Pearl Trade, please contact us. We are working to make sure each item we list as in the Magnolia Pearl Vault includes such pertinent details as measurement, condition, color and fit, but we are happy to answer any further questions you may have!

If you win an auction & forget or neglect to pay the invoice for your won item within 10 DAYS of auction closing, your winning bid will be voided. The item won will be available for future re-listing by Magnolia Pearl Trade.

Purchasing & Payment

All payments on the Magnolia Pearl Trade platform are automated through PayPal. Both Buyers and Sellers MUST sign into/set up a PayPal account in order to participate in transactions on Magnolia Pearl Trade. This is a simple step that does not require leaving our site; a PayPal pop-up window will appear the first time a Seller lists an item or a Buyer bids on an item. You will be prompted to sign into your PayPal account if you already have one, or set one up.

  • Sellers: You will only be prompted to enter your PayPal account details when your FIRST listing is approved; all subsequent listings from your Magnolia Pearl Trade account will automatically sync with your PayPal account.
  • Bidders/Buyers: In order to protect Sellers from no-show Bidders (and to generally protect ALL involved in transactions on Magnolia Pearl Trade), you will be prompted to enter your PayPal account details when bidding for the first time. You will not have to enter your details on subsequent bids, but you will be directed to PayPal to arrange for payment details if you win an item.

Though we recommend signing in/creating an account through PayPal (for ease of record-keeping in case of a dispute), Buyers are welcome to checkout as a Guest through the PayPal platform. That said, Buyers must enter their credit card information with PayPal upon their first bid.

When you sell an item (a Buyer wins the auction or completes the "Buy Now" process), the Buyer's account is charged through PayPal, but the funds are held until, at the latest, 24 HOURS after the item is received by the Buyer (receipt confirmation by Buyer is automated through UPS). This assures a degree of Buyer protection in case of fraud. If 24 HOURS have transpired since your Buyer received their package and payment has not been released, please contact us and we will work to make sure this is corrected.

All payments on Magnolia Pearl Trade are automated through PayPal; once the Buyer receives the item from the Seller (verified through shipping/tracking confirmation), and barring no issues reported by the Buyer (to be reported within 24 HOURS of delivery), funds are automatically placed in the Seller’s PayPal account. Transferring funds to your bank account from your PayPal account may take 2-3 days with a standard transfer, or you may choose an automatic transfer for a small fee (incurred by PayPal).

Along with PayPal, Magnolia Pearl Trade has placed as many safeguards as possible to prevent non-payment from being feasible. We require each bidder to enter their payment info upon their first bid; if the bidder wins the auction (and then becomes the BUYER), their card is charged, but PayPal holds the payment for 24 HOURS after receipt of the item from the Seller. This 24-hour period ensures the Buyer is satisfied with the condition of their item.

If you are notified that the Buyer has received the item but payment has not been released to you after 24 HOURS of this notification, please reach out to us. If no resolution is reached, and payment for the item has not been received by 10 DAYS of winning the item, Magnolia Pearl Trade can void the sale & grant the Seller a complimentary re-list.

Through the PayPal platform, Magnolia Pearl Trade accepts the following forms of payment: PayPal, Venmo & All Major Credit and Debit Cards:

  • American Express
  • Discover
  • MasterCard
  • Visa

You will need to enter the name of the cardholder as it appears on the card, the credit or debit card number, expiration date, zip code and CVV code to process credit or debit card payment.

PayPal does not offer these payment services at this time, but hopes to offer them soon.

No; though Authentic Magnolia Pearl items are bought and sold on Magnolia Pearl Trade, Magnolia Pearl gift cards may only be used in purchasing items from our flagship stores or through our shop website.

Invoices are found through the "My Account" Icon at the upper right-hand menu on the Home Screen (the small circular icon that looks like a person). Scroll down to "My Account Home" then click on "Buyer", then "Invoices". Scroll down to find payment buttons & you're all set!

If your payment is on hold, it’s either because your Buyer has not received and approved their item yet, or it possible the Buyer has reported an issue with Magnolia Pearl Trade directly or the purchase was flagged and is being reviewed by PayPal. Funds will be held until the issue is resolved. In this case, Magnolia Pearl Trade and/or PayPal will be in contact with both Seller and Buyer.

Any charge disputes will need to be dealt with directly through PayPal within 7 - 180 days from transaction date. Magnolia Pearl Trade, LLC has no access to nor visibility of your PayPal account - you must make a claim with PayPal instead of through Magnolia Pearl Trade. If you used a credit card, you must contact your bank provider to dispute a charge. If you have raised a dispute through these channels and still need input or assistance, you may contact us for further guidance.

Because our payments are integrated through PayPal, who is fully PCI compliant, your information is entirely secure. There is more specific verbiage covering PayPal’s security and privacy policies on their website & more of Magnolia Pearl Trade’s Privacy Policies here

You may quickly and easily update your method of payment, etc. through your PayPal account.

With a standard transfer on PayPal (1-3 days before funds are in your bank account), you will be charged no fees. Instant transfers to your bank via your Visa Debit Card (within minutes) charge a 1.75% fee, up to $25.00.

You do not need to be a Seller to bid on or purchase items through Magnolia Pearl Trade, you only need to set up an Magnolia Pearl Trade Account and enter your payment details through our secure PayPal payment portal and you’re all set!

We want Buyers to feel as secure and supported throughout their shopping experience on Magnolia Pearl Trade as they would in any Magnolia Pearl boutiques. Once a Buyer pays for an item, their credit card is charged through PayPal, but the funds are not automatically released to the Seller until 24 HOURS after the Buyer receives their item.

If you receive an item that does not match the description as listed or you suspect fraud in any way (i.e. the item is imitation Magnolia Pearl, etc.) please report this to us within 24 HOURS. We will immediately address the issue with an in-depth investigation, and no payments will be released to the Seller until a verdict is made on the claim.

Magnolia Pearl Trade has a fiduciary responsibility and is obligated by law to collect sales tax on orders shipped to U.S. jurisdictions that charge sales tax. The amount of sales tax charged on an order is based on several factors including, but not limited to:

  • Type of item purchased
  • Buyer’s delivery address
  • Seller’s return address
  • Shipping costs

No; Magnolia Pearl Trade does not accept tax-exemption certificates. Magnolia Pearl Wholesalers are not allowed to conduct business on Magnolia Pearl Trade. Additionally, any profit collected that may be donated to charity through the Magnolia Pearl Peace Warrior Foundation is non-tax-deductible.

Shipping

Once the Buyer has won an auction & successfully submitted payment/shipping information, the Seller is expected to ship the item purchased within five days (though it is advisable to send it in 2 to 3 days).

Magnolia Pearl Trade will send automated messages to the Seller, gently reminding them to meet their shipping commitment until the fifth day after their item’s auction is won.

Though shipping services are automated, the Seller should stay in touch with the Buyer throughout the shipping process, appropriately communicating any delays, discrepancies, etc. It is also advisable for the Seller to photograph the package (sealed and labeled) before shipping in case the article arrives damaged.

In all transactions on Magnolia Pearl Trade, the BUYER is responsible for paying shipping costs (though the Seller is responsible for completing the shipping process).

Though it’s unlikely any email from Magnolia Pearl Trade would be diverted to your spam or junk folders once you’ve reached the point of successfully selling an item, please check those folders first to make sure. If you still cannot find an email from us with your shipping label, please contact us ASAP so that we can help you expedite the process. As always, we ask that Sellers please stay in contact with their Buyers throughout the shipping process and communicate any snags that might cause a delay.

Only once the Buyer has completed payment through PayPal will a UPS label be generated and emailed to you. Once you receive this notification and label, it is your responsibility to package and ship your item via UPS (have the box w/affixed label scanned into the system at any authorized UPS shipment location)

Payment will be released to you, the Seller, within 24 HOURS after the shipment is confirmed as delivered (unless the buyer raises a dispute) using the UPS tracking number included with the shipping label.

If you've followed these steps, your payment should be on track, and you can expect it to be released within 24 HOURS after the confirmed delivery.

UPS is the preferred carrier of Magnolia Pearl Trade; we have a long-standing relationship with UPS and thus have established a reliable and efficient service of shipping and receiving in concert with them. All shipping processes conducted through UPS are automated with Magnolia Pearl Trade. Using any other shipping company (at this time), or making delivery arrangements outside of the Magnolia Pearl Trade platform is discouraged.

With Magnolia Pearl Trade’s UPS Ground Option:

  • All shipping labels, tracking information and more are navigable and integrated through the Magnolia Pearl Trade platform.
  • Automatic shipping insurance is enabled by default (at a rate of $0.99 per $100) & added onto invoice.
  • Magnolia Pearl Trade is able to oversee shipping status, etc.

When you sell an item on Magnolia Pearl Trade, you are automatically sent an email from Magnolia Pearl Trade to the account provided when you signed up including instructions as well as a PDF of your UPS shipping label. If you don’t have access to a printer, you will need to coordinate with your local UPS location to print your label at their store. We recommend using high-quality boxes/padded envelopes to ship your items, taped up soundly, in order to avoid possible issues once shipped. Again, it is advisable for the Seller to photograph the package before shipping (sealed and labeled) in case the article arrives damaged.

The shipping price suggested at time of sale is calculated based on an ESTIMATE of an individual item weighing 1 lb. 8 oz. & sent with the most basic shipping option (UPS Ground) plus the automatically-calculated shipping insurance through Shipsurance ($0.99 per $100). UPS's rate varies when shipping from state to state. Magnolia Pearl Trade is not able to revise or negotiate those rates, as they are calculated by UPS. The actual dimensional weight of the item once packaged and ready to ship may be slightly more or less than this estimate, in which case the cost of shipping will be adjusted accordingly and charged to the Buyer/paid to the Seller when item is received by the buyer (as described/without issue). Any discrepancy between estimated shipping price and actual shipping price should be minimal and should be communicated to the Buyer by the Seller; if what you are being charged for shipping varies excessively from the estimate, please contact us.

Unfortunately, we cannot ship multiple items won from Magnolia Pearl Vault auctions (MP Exclusives, MP Closet, Prop Closet, Robin’s Closet) together.

Our built-in inventory/accounting computer processes do not permit this to prevent items from being lost or sent to the wrong address.

Each item won from a Magnolia Pearl Vault auction will be sent in a separate package and be charged for separate shipping.

“Insurance”, for the purpose of defining what is offered through Magnolia Pearl Trade, is coverage provided by Shipsurance. The automated Shipping Insurance calculated with your Magnolia Pearl Trade shipments are covered by Shipsurance, not UPS (whose “declared value” coverage is limited and not insurance, per se). Shipsurance is an independent, specific shipping insurance company that works with large parcel shipment companies and provides excellent coverage and customer service at a discounted rate. The cost of basic insurance is automatically calculated before a Buyer is charged for the item at a rate of $0.99 per $100.

If a Seller requests expedited shipping, the Seller is responsible for facilitating this through UPS directly and communicating with Buyer on price, estimated delivery, etc.

Once your item is scanned into UPS’s system using the shipping label provided, both Buyer and Seller will receive an email with a link for tracking. Tracking services and delivery are under the auspices of UPS. Please report any issues (i.e. if your order has been marked as “Delivered” but never arrived) with tracking to these companies directly and communicate them with the Buyer/Seller.

If a Seller does not ship an item within the allotted 5 days from the Buyer winning an auction/buying outright, Magnolia Pearl Trade Admin will be notified and we will reach out to the Seller personally to ascertain what the issue may be. We encourage Sellers to communicate with Buyers at all points of the shipping process, especially if they anticipate a problem getting the item sent within that 5-day window.

Buyers have the option to cancel their order on the 6th day after winning an auction if the item has not been shipped yet. You need only contact Magnolia Pearl Trade to inform us and we will work to address the issue.

If 20 days have passed since the sale and neither Seller nor Buyer have communicated with Magnolia Pearl Trade, funds will not be released to the Seller and Buyer will be refunded in full.

Magnolia Pearl Trade is not responsible for shipping issues that may arise once the Seller fulfills their obligation and correctly packages, labels and ships the sold item as instructed. Once the item is in UPS’s system, UPS is responsible for the parcel up to an automatically-applied $100 declared value; insurance provided through Shipsurance (calculated at time of Sale and based on price of article sold) covers any damage incurred throughout the shipping process, regardless of who is at fault. We encourage Sellers to photograph the sealed package before sending in order to verify they have packed and closed the container sufficiently.

Yes; in order to provide protection for all, the minimum shipping insurance calculated through Shipsurance is automatically integrated into all purchases through Magnolia Pearl Trade. Shipsurance’s rates are incredibly reasonable and significantly lower than those of other providers; the cost incurred to provide coverage is minimal and protects your purchase. Currently, the rate of basic insurance through Shipsurance is calculated as $0.99 per $100.

While Magnolia Pearl Trade Admin and the Seller can depend upon UPS’s automated information regarding delivery, the Buyer nonetheless MUST confirm approval of their purchase within TWO (2) days after delivery. (Buyer will be sent an automated message from Magnolia Pearl Trade from which to do so.) This is to ensure that the Buyer is satisfied with their product and finds it to be an Authentic Magnolia Pearl piece that matches the description in the listing. If the Buyer does not confirm approval of purchase within TWO (2) days, the order will be accepted automatically on the Buyer’s behalf and the funds will be released to the Seller.

If the Seller has completed their obligations to send your item and it has been scanned into UPS’s system and still has not arrived, please report this to Magnolia Pearl Trade. We will open a case with UPS/Shipsurance and navigate the process for you.

Returns

Shipped orders cannot be canceled. Orders placed through an offer are FINAL SALE (unless a damage/authenticity claim is applicable, etc.) and cannot be canceled as an accidental purchase.

All sales on Magnolia Pearl Trade are FINAL SALE. If the item is just not your style or does not fit you, we unfortunately cannot accept a return. You can always re-list the item.

The only cases in which a full refund for the item is offered are:

  • If item is never shipped (see above under “Shipping”)
  • If item is lost in shipping (see above under “Shipping”)
  • If item arrives damaged (see above under “Shipping”)
  • If item does not match listing description in an immediately obvious manner or is severely altered
  • If item is fraudulent/imitation Magnolia Pearl

In these cases, you have TWO days after delivery to report any issues with their items directly to Magnolia Pearl Trade, with supporting photos/documentation. If a return request is not submitted within the 2-day window from delivery, we will assume everything is satisfactory and release payment to the Seller. Once we release payment, all sales are final, and no refunds will be available.

The length of time to review a case varies depending on the proof we have on hand, as well as the Buyer and Seller cooperation/response time. A return request typically takes our team 1-2 business days to process.

Once a case has been submitted, Magnolia Pearl Trade works with both parties to facilitate the return. Seller will be notified of the Buyer’s return request via an email from Magnolia Pearl Trade Admin and given the opportunity to either accept or reject the request.

If the Seller accepts the return request: a return label is emailed to the Buyer, with shipping costs charged to Seller. The Buyer is responsible for packaging and shipping the return (using the provided label) through their UPS store. Once the Seller receives the return, the Buyer is refunded back the cost of the item (winning bid total), taxes and shipping costs (insurance is non-refundable). The Buyer must ship the return back within 10 days from the day the return label is sent to them via email. If the approved return is not shipped back by the 10th day after the return label is sent, the return request is automatically voided and all funds are released to the Seller.

If the Seller rejects/denies the return request: a case is opened by Magnolia Pearl Trade Admin, and Magnolia Pearl Trade Admin assumes the role of mediator.

Both parties must provide clear evidence of their claim. Magnolia Pearl Trade Admin will compare this evidence against what was presented in the original listing. The evidence we typically request includes, but is not limited, to:

  • Damage Claim: Clear, crisp photos of the item and item issues in bright or natural lighting, as well as a thorough description of how the received item(s) are damaged
  • Color of item is misrepresented: Clear photos in natural lighting are the best way to showcase the true color of an item.
  • Authenticity claim: Include photos showing tags/labels and details such as stitching, etc.
  • Condition/extent of alteration of item is misrepresented: Provide photos and a thorough description of what you feel has been misrepresented.
  • Wrong item received: Clear image of the item received as well as images of all shipping labels and packaging.

If Magnolia Pearl Trade determines that the item in question was indeed misrepresented, we will initiate the return process, regardless of the Seller’s rejection. The Buyer will be sent a return label (shipping costs paid by Magnolia Pearl Trade) and then must package the item and take it to their UPS store. Item must be shipped within 10 days of receipt of the return label or the return/refund will not be processed. The item will be shipped back to Magnolia Pearl Trade Admin, and the Buyer will be refunded all payment incurred in the process (winning bid total, taxes and shipping costs - insurance is non-refundable) once we receive the return.

The above conditions apply ONLY if all transactions occurred within the Magnolia Pearl Trade platform; arrangements between Buyer and Seller not made through the site are not covered by any guarantees from Magnolia Pearl Trade.

Packages must not contain anything other than the purchased item as listed and relevant packing material to protect the item. Anything beyond this may be grounds for investigation and/or the intervention of law enforcement.

Magnolia Pearl Trade fully investigates claims to the furthest extent of our capabilities, taking into consideration the Buyer’s past purchases/whether there is a pattern of returning items, submitting exorbitant claims, etc. It is our goal that all involved on the Magnolia Pearl Trade platform have a positive experience on this site. As always, Buyers and Sellers are encouraged to reach out to us at any time in the process if they suspect fraud/abuse, etc.

Once a Seller rejects/denies a Buyer’s return request for any reason, an investigation is made into the claims of both Buyer and Seller. If it is found that the Seller did not misrepresent their item(s) in listing or is otherwise deemed not at fault for the stated reason for return (aka if their rejection/denial of the return is deemed legitimate), there are no penalties and the Seller is free to continue listing items as usual.

If Magnolia Pearl Trade Admin determines that the Seller’s rejection/denial of the proposed return is ungrounded (and the Buyer is granted their return request), the Seller will receive a warning via email stating that an additional infraction will result in account suspension. If another (second) return request is rejected/denied by the Seller and, upon investigation by Magnolia Pearl Trade Admin, found to be ungrounded (granting the Buyer their return), the Seller’s account will be suspended and their username is restricted from use on Magnolia Pearl Trade. All of the Seller’s active listings/auctions will be ended and all bids are voided/no longer accepted.

In the case of contentious returns, Magnolia Pearl Trade Admin will assume the role of mediator though, at this time, there is no system in place that automatically disables the chat function between users when a return is initiated for any reason on Magnolia Pearl Trade. If a dispute has been opened/a Seller rejects a return, we STRONGLY recommend communicating issues through Magnolia Pearl Trade Admin ONLY throughout the resolution process. All chats are visible to Magnolia Pearl Trade Admin; in the case of a user reporting another user on the grounds of abuse/harassment, we will investigate such charges thoroughly.

We advise Sellers to be as descriptive and detailed as possible when creating listings, ESPECIALLY in regards to measurements and overall fit. Please provide thorough measurements of your item and describe how it fits compared to standard US sizing.

We encourage Buyers to closely review the listing photos, descriptions and item condition and if you have further questions, communicate clearly with the Seller via the Q & A section of the listing. Sellers, please be prompt and thorough with your response. Please review our FAQ Section on Communication between Buyers and Sellers, as well as our Community Guidelines to review the parameters of polite and professional communication through Magnolia Pearl Trade.

Authenticity & Standards

All listings are consistently scrutinized by trained members of the Magnolia Pearl Trade team against an exhaustive index of Magnolia Pearl pieces to ensure authenticity. In the unlikely event that a fraudulent item evades our detection or the received item is misrepresented, we ask you to contactMagnolia Pearl Trade immediately.

If you receive an item you believe is not Authentic Magnolia Pearl, you must contact us within 3 days to open a case. Payment to the Seller will be suspended until Authentication Services have done their due diligence. If the piece in question is determined to be inauthentic, payment to the Seller will be canceled, Buyer will receive a refund and the Seller’s account will be suspended until further review. If no claim is made within 3 days of delivery, payment will be automatically released to the Seller. Once payment has been released, all sales are final, and no refunds will be provided.

There are certain tells that are immediately apparent to the trained Magnolia Pearl eye. If you notice there is no “Magnolia Pearl” label sewn, appliquéd or printed directly on the garment, that is an immediate cause for concern. There are also specific fonts we have used over the years that are instantly recognizable to us. Fabric quality is also another important factor. Please contact us with any doubts you may have as to the authenticity of anything you see on Magnolia Pearl Trade or receive.

Magnolia Pearl Trade is serious about addressing issues of fraud. If you suspect someone is listing knock-off Magnolia Pearl items, please contact us or simply report the item using the “Report” feature available on each listing. (Found within the drop-down menu available on each listing image.) If you believe you have purchased/received stolen or fraudulent Magnolia Pearl goods through a transaction made on Magnolia Pearl Trade, contact us IMMEDIATELY with all pertinent information and photos to document why you believe so, and we will work together to find a solution, get repayment and penalize the fraudster.

As long as you are 100% upfront about a garment’s alteration—stating in plain language in your listing the nature of what has been changed about the garment and its respective measurements and documenting these modifications with clear images—the item is still considered Authentic Magnolia Pearl. The only exceptions to this would be cases in which a Magnolia Pearl piece has been cut up and mixed with other clothing brands/entirely redesigned. If you have any questions as to the authenticity of a piece you’d like to list, please contact us; we value open communication and you will never be penalized for inquiries.

One-Of-A-Kind (OOAK) items previously purchased through Magnolia Pearl Auctions or special invite Pre-Sales can only be resold through Magnolia Pearl Trade if they have a Magnolia Pearl label. Magnolia Pearl Trade provides Authentication Services for Magnolia Pearl Items ONLY; vintage/antique items that might have been purchased through these auctions that do not carry the Magnolia Pearl Label cannot be resold through Magnolia Pearl Trade. Items won through fundraising auctions signed by various artists (Lauren Daigle, etc.) cannot be resold.

To protect Buyers from fraud, items listed for resale at $5,000 USD or more will alert our Authentication Center. Seller must be the original buyer and provide proof of purchase. In lieu of a receipt, Seller may provide other pertinent details such as the name of their personal Magnolia Pearl Sales Rep, shop where item was purchased, etc.

Communication

We encourage open and honest communication between Buyers and Sellers on Magnolia Pearl Trade regarding details of an item for sale, shipping and other pertinent matters related to a transaction. Magnolia Pearl Traders may communicate by clicking “Contact Seller” beneath the Seller’s star-rating on an active listing, and/or post a question to the Q&A section at the bottom of each listing. Communication in the Q&A Section is public, whereas communication occurring through the “Contact Seller” option is private. That said, all correspondence between Buyers and Sellers on Magnolia Pearl Trade is filtered through various safeguards to ensure an overall level of decorum and appropriate information sharing.Sharing of personal information, spamming, phishing, soliciting and abusive language is never tolerated on Magnolia Pearl Trade; maintaining a level of professionalism and kindness in allcommunication is of the utmost priority.

If we find any communication between Buyers and Sellers to be in violation of our Community Guidelines, we will halt communication and, pending an investigation, discontinue the offender’s account.

If you see a listing that is clearly not Authentic Magnolia Pearl or whose depiction is outside of our Community Guidelines, please report the listing. You may do this by clicking on the small red flag at the top right of each listing that says “Report”, and entering your concern.

If another user on Magnolia Pearl Trade is harassing you in any way (continuing to contact you after you’ve asked them to stop, etc.) we ask that you contact us immediately.

Please report any items you believe to be counterfeit Magnolia Pearl that may have slipped beneath the radar of our Authentication Team.

All reported listings alert Magnolia Pearl Trade Admin, and we take reported offenses from other users very seriously. We will investigate each report and contact the interested parties, separately, via email. Any items that go against our Community Guidelines will be removed from Magnolia Pearl Trade and the Seller contacted/flagged. (All reports of listings/users are confidential; the alleged offender will not see who has reported them.)

At this time, we do not have the ability for one user to block another. If an issue escalates to the point where you feel you need to block another user for your own safety or peace of mind, please allow Magnolia Pearl Trade to investigate and take proper action.

All correspondence on Magnolia Pearl Trade is run through a filter for profanity, personal information, etc. If something you wrote alerted one of these filters, your question may have been flagged and not posted.

The 5-star system on Magnolia Pearl Trade works similarly to other rating systems you might be familiar with. We encourage Buyers and Sellers to be honest and sincere in rating their peers on Magnolia Pearl Trade as this helps maintain a level of trustworthiness and community protection. Please uphold a tone of professionalism in your feedback, keeping in mind your comments are public. If you feel as though your rating has been compromised by another user in a manner unrelated to your performance on Magnolia Pearl Trade, please feel free to contact us with your concerns, and we will work with you to improve your rating and/or investigate ungrounded negative reviews.

Reporting an item occurs while the item is still listed for sale on Magnolia Pearl Trade; opening a dispute would happen once a Buyer receives an item that doesn’t match what was listed.
